Janice Mae (Wordell) Loppnow, age 86, of New Holstein, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at LakeHouse of New Holstein.

She was born March 31, 1938, to Edgar and Linda (Zahn) Wordell in Kiel Wisconsin. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kiel and confirmed there on April 6, 1952.

She graduated from Woodland Park Grade School and then from Kiel High School in 1956.

On January 8, 1966, she married Myron (Mike) Loppnow at Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein WI. Mike preceded her in death on June 20, 2021.

Janice was employed at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein for 37 years. She also taught Sunday School and played organ in multiple churches. She did volunteer work at Repeat Performance in Manitowoc WI. She could always be counted on to help her church or someone in need, especially if it was when she was providing her famous Scotcharoo's.

She had a strong faith and loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include five of her children, Gary Loppnow of New Holstein, Cheri (David) Wusterbarth of Kiel, Jeff (Kathy) Loppnow of rural Fond du Lac, Tammy Bratz of Kiel, Tracy Loppnow (Julie Behrman) of Greenfield; 12 grandchildren, Zachary (Tracy) Wusterbarth, Brittany (Kyle) Thomas, Destiny (Todd) Holmes, Ramsey Wusterbarth, Harmony (Mike) Crofts, Jordan Loppnow, Joshua Loppnow, Jacob (Anna) Loppnow, Jade (Evan) Luchs, Derek Bratz, Ashley (Brett) Gutschow, Michael Burkart (Kristen Haurin-Burkart); 17 great-grandchildren; her sister Connie Wordell, her sisters-in-law Carol Wordell and Delores Wordell, and brother-in-law Melvin (Sue) Loppnow. She is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband Myron (Mike) Loppnow, her parents Edgar and Linda Wordell, her son Terry Loppnow, a great-granddaughter Audiel Thomas, her son-in-law Keith Bratz, her two brothers Rev Karl Wordell and Roger Wordell, her sister Bonnie (Howard) Lau, sister-in law Carol Loppnow, stepmother Edna Wordell, and her father-in-law & mother-in-law Walter and Adela Loppnow.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kiel, 387 Cemetery Road Kiel, WI 53042. Rev. Brett Naumann and Rev. Isaiah Horn will officiate.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Janice's family at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kiel Saturday, November 9th from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
