Jean A. (Feuerhelm) Hoekstra, age 84, of New Holstein, passed away with her family at her side on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center where she resided since November of 2023.

She was born June 11, 1940, in Fond du Lac to Connor & Agnes (Schaub) Feuerhelm. Jean graduated from New Holstein High School in 1959. On August 6, 1965, she married Melvin Hoekstra.

Jean worked at the former Calumet Homestead in New Holstein for many years until her retirement.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jean had an affection for animals, especially dogs. She loved working in her garden and spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchild.

Jean is survived by her husband, Melvin; her four sons, John Hoekstra (fiancée, Dawn Smet), Michael Hoekstra, Edward Hoekstra, and Russell Hoekstra (fiancée, Jill Dallen); four grandchildren, Derek, Brooke, Olivia, Jaxson; a great-granddaughter, Charlotte; two brothers-in-law, Jack Hoekstra and Anton (Janice) Hoekstra; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Connor & Agnes; her stepfather, William Grundman; her brother, Conner Feuerhelm.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Jean's family at the Sippel Funeral Home on Saturday, August 10th from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM.

Jean's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to her care team at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center for the wonderful care given to her.
