Jeannette M. Loefer

Jeannette M. Loefer, age 85, of Forest Junction, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Jeannette was born on September 25, 1931 in Appleton, daughter of the late Ewald and Elinore (Olm) Greve.  She was a graduate of Appleton West High School, class of 1949.  Jeannette met Alton Loefer at the Outagamie County Fair, and the couple later married on June 8, 1954 in Appleton.  He preceded her in death on August 3, 1982.  After high school, she worked at Zwicker Mill and various greenhouses.  Together with Milford Schultz, the couple founded L & S Farms of Reedsville where Jeannette was the secretary.  This family business is still owned and operated by their sons Jim and Tom.  She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction, and former member of the Calumet County Farm Bureau, and the Reedsville Lioness Club.  Jeannette was an avid sports fan, and when her health allowed it, she loved to travel and spend time with her family.

Jeannette is survived by her children and their spouses: Cheryl (Gene) Puhl of Elk Mound, WI, James (Judy) Loefer of Brillion, Nancy (Terry) Beckman of Malone, Thomas (Connie) Loefer of Reedsville, and Charles Loefer (special friend Tina Parrish) of Quincy, IL; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Bill (Emily) Puhl and their children Kylie and Hannah; Sarah (Andy) Spiegel and their children: Jada, Collin, and Weston, Janie (Jason) Kupsky and their children: Lauryn, Brody, Reese, and Jensen; Breanne (Joe) Schoen and their children: Athena, Corinne, Alette, and Delphine; Kim (Hans) Severson; Chris Beckman; Jenna and A.J. Loefer, Charli and Joseph “J.T.” Loefer; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Lois Jane (Al) Sonnenberg of Appleton and Curtis Loefer of Oak Brook, IL, one brother and two sisters-in-law: Jerry (Audrey) Greve of Appleton, and Debra (Hans) Sattler, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives, special cousin Bev Erdmann who also shared a birthday, special friends: Marge and Renee Ott, Sharon and Gene Pingel, Walter and Lois Keller, dialysis driver and friend Diane Meier, and other friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alton, a granddaughter Lindsey Loefer on February 2, 2003, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Harry and Norma (Zick) Loefer, and sisters-in-law: Ardice (Don) Johanek and Judith Loefer.

Funeral Service will take place at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction.  The Rev. Rick Andrus will officiate.  Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Junction.

Friends may call at church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
