Jefry "Jef" W. deCoster, age 66, of New Holstein, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 24, 2020. He was born August 31, 1954, to Marcella "Red" (Wink) deCoster and the late William "Bud" deCoster. Jef graduated from New Holstein High School in 1972. He obtained his degree as an electrician and served his apprenticeship through Lakeshore Technical College. On October 20, 1979, he married Sharon Berenz at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Jef worked as an electrician for his entire working career. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein and the New Holstein Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his mother, "Red" deCoster of New Holstein; his mother-in-law, Agnes Berenz of New Holstein; his brother-in-law, Allan Berenz of New Holstein; his sisters-in-law, Pat (Paul) Taylor of Queen Creek, Arizona, Audrey (Larry) Dietz of New Holstein, and Anne Berenz of Sheboygan. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and friends. Preceding him in death were his father, "Bud" deCoster; his two brothers, James and Douglas deCoster; his father-in-law, Marvin Berenz; a brother-in-law, Dan Berenz; and his four legged friend, Tedi. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Jef's family from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at St. John United Church of Christ, 2111 Church Street, New Holstein, WI 53061.
