Jerome "Shorty" Biedenbender, age 57, of Brillion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Shorty was born on January 7, 1956 in Green Bay, son of Dorothy (Bessert) Biedenbender and the late Wilburn Biedenbender. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1974, and he attended Lakeland College. On August 16, 1985, he married Lori Mayer in Brillion. Shorty worked at the Ariens Company in Brillion for many years. He coached Charger Football and several boys and girls basketball tourney teams for Trinity and Brillion School. Shorty also loved to attend sporting events, cheering on his family and friends. He was the Brewers #1 fan and loved them so much that he painted two vehicles Brewers colors, for the two times the Brewers went to the play offs in 1982 and 2008. He also loved to golf and cook. Shorty adored being a Dad and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends sharing his great sense of humor. He was a member of the Brillion Athletic Association and Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. Shorty is survived by his wife Lori; their children: Katie and Luke of Brillion; four sisters and three-brothers-in-law: Paulette (Dennis) Krizenesky of Brillion, Kathie (Ron) Hillmann of Menomonee, Judy (Earl) Geiger of Brillion, and Jayne Brett of Appleton; one brother and sister-in-law: Pastor Tom (Sandy) Biedenbender of Mission, SD; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Michael and Shirley Mayer of The Villages, FL; one sister-in-law: Pam (Jim) Peters of Appleton; one brother-in-law: Brad (Jaime) Mayer of Stevens Point; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive. He was preceded in death by his dad Wilburn and two brothers-in-law: Mike Mayer, Jr. and Pat Mayer. Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 10th, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Revs. Ross Henzi and Jonathan Bourman will officiate. Burial will take place on Monday in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion.
