Jerome "Romy" Lau, age 77 of Reedsville, died on Saturday August 8, 2015 at Life Care Hospital in Pewaukee. He was born on January 7, 1938 in Reedsville, son of the late Clarence and Rose (Fuhrman) Lau. He married Diane Habermann on April 29, 1961 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. Romy worked at Kohler Co until his retirement in 2000. He was a lifelong member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville, the Collins Paradise Snow Riders and was a former member of the Collins Fire Dept, Collins Lions Club and Rockea Hunting Club. He enjoyed spending time at Shawano Lake, listening to polka music and playing sheepshead. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Diane, sisters Eunice (Marvin) Loppnow of DePere, Gloria (Merlin) Robley of Reedsville, Sue Kiel and special friend Bob Siehr of Manitowoc, sisters-in-law, Darlyne Lau of Reedsville, Janice Lau of Brillion, Darlene Haese of Brillion, Sandy (Dick) Reindl of Valders and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father Wilmer Ahrens, his in-laws William and Dorothy (Valleskey) Habermann, brothers Harland Lau and Denver Lau, a brother-in-law Eljein Haese, and 2 nephews Richard Loppnow and Jeffrey Robley. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. Thomas Fricke will officiate. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:45 P.M.
