Joan "Jo" Harms

July 22, 1934 — July 20, 2012

Joan Jo Harms, age 77, of Brillion, WI passed away on Friday July 20, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center in Wisconsin. She was born on July 22, 1934 in Lancaster County Nebraska, daughter of the late Francis Everette and Maureen (Van Kirk) Hedges. Jo graduated from Waverly High School in 1952 and the University of Nebraska in 1956 with her B.A. in Elementary Education. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion, the United Methodist Women, Brillion Red Hatters, and the Cedar Falls Iowa Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband Clarence, a son Steven of Prescott AZ, a daughter Lauri (Steve) Tredinnick of Madison WI, two granddaughters Katie and Lizzie, two sisters-in-law Lorette Hedges of Lees Summit MO, and Ruth Pinckney of Wheatland MO and many other relatives and friends. Jo was preceded in death by her son David on December 21, 1983 and her brother David Hedges. A funeral service was held in Brillion on July 23rd. A memorial service and burial will be held at the Roper & Sons chapel in Lincoln on Monday August 6th at 2:00pm with burial in Wyuka Cemetery following.
