Joan Mary Ann (Mannenbach) Flesch, age 93, of Mount Calvary, passed away at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

She was born February 2, 1930, in Mount Calvary to Frank & Elizabeth (Bleuel) Mannenbach. Joan attended Holy Cross Catholic Grade School and graduated from St. Mary's Springs High School.

On June 9, 1956, Joan married the love of her life, Delmer Flesch, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary; Delmer preceded her in death on January 15, 2020.

Family was very important to Joan. Her favorite holiday was Christmas which usually involved decorating her tree, decorating cookies, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Watching the Milwaukee Bucks was her favorite pastime, but most importantly was her love of family and friends.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-Holy Cross Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir, decorating the church, and serving on various committees.

Joan is survived by her seven children, Betty (Leo) Gonnering, of Waupaca, Steve (Shelley) Flesch of Fond du Lac, Jean (Bruce) Unterbrunner of Abrams, Pat (Mark) Koll of Waupun, Mary (Dan) Merten of Mount Calvary, Julie (Tim) Flaherty of Fond du Lac, and John (Jackie) Flesch of Elkhart Lake. Grandchildren, Michelle, Marissa, Taylor, Peyton, Shelby (Fiancé, Dylon), Tyler, Ashley (Drew) Housman, Kelsey, Morgan, Joshua, Jacob (Cassidy), and Jared. Joan is further survived by her brother, Earl (Dorothy) Mannenbach of New Holstein; her sister-in-law, Betty Flesch of Fond du Lac.

Preceding Joan in death were her husband, Delmer; her parents, Frank & Elizabeth Mannenbach; her sisters, Dorothy and Gladys; her brothers, Jerry and Francis.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W, Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Paul Koenig, OFM Cap will officiate.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Joan's family at the church in Mount Calvary on Saturday, April 29th from 10:00 AM until 12:45 PM. Entombment will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 1st at Shrine of Rest Chapel Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name.

Joan's family extends their deepest gratitude to all the nurses at St. Agnes Hospital and the staff at Hospice Home of Hope for the wonderful care she received.
