Joanne Marie (Geiser) Freund, age 77, of rural Malone "Marytown", passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

She was born July 8, 1948, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac to the late Werner & Lorraine (Kolbe) Geiser. Joanne graduated from Chilton High School.

On June 14, 1969, she married Ambrose Freund at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. Ambrose preceded her in death on February 23, 2022.

In her early working career, Joanne worked as a cosmetologist in New Holstein. As her family grew, she stayed home to help run the family's dairy and beef cattle farm in the Town of Calumet near Marytown.

She was an avid watcher of the Brewers and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Joanne was the biggest fan when attending her grandkids games.

Joanne is survived by her four daughters, Amy (Jeff) Mand of Malone, Angela (Eric) Kremer of rural New Holstein "Marytown", Paula (Brad) Thelen of Malone "Marytown", and Rose Freund (Greg Hartman) of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, Adam Freund, Logan Kremer, Austin Kremer, Aiden Kremer, Brady Thelen, and Paige Thelen; her brothers and sister, Jerome Geiser, John (Mary) Geiser, Paul (Jeanne) Geiser, and Ellen (Gerry) Heus.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Ambrose; an infant daughter, Jennifer; her parents; and a sister-in-law, Carol Geiser.

Private services with the immediate family will be held.
