John J. Freund, age 62, of New Holstein, formerly of Calumetville, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 He was born October 16, 1952 to Harvey and the late Rita (Wettstein) Freund. He graduated from New Holstein High School in 1971. John was in the Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Calumet Vintage Steel Club. Survivors include his father, Harvey Freund of Malone; four brothers, Ervin (Kathy) Freund of Silica, Lester (Katie) Freund of Green Bay, Gary (Patty) Freund of Fond du Lac, and Allen Freund of Malone; Sister, Susie (Gerald) Roehrig of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death was his mother, Rita Freund; a brother, Alvin Freund; and a sister, Beverly Freund. Cremation has taken place. A Worship Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, N10362 St. Paul Road Malone, WI 53049. A Celebration of life will be held at Beer Run in Pipe, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
