John L. Hardie

John L. Hardie, age 58, of Manitowoc, passed away at his residence on Friday, January 9, 2015. John was born on July 25, 1956 in Key West, Florida, son of Alexander J."Bud", and the late Loretta (Barbier) Hardie. On August 24, 2003, he married Melody Harris in Manitowoc. John was previously employed at the Holiday House in Manitowoc. He enjoyed video games, "his tunes," and he loved Elvis Presley. John is survived by his wife: Melody of Manitowoc; his father: Bud Hardie of Manitowoc; one brother: Jim Hardie of Green Bay; and many aunts, uncles, and other in-laws. He was preceded in death by his mother: Loretta in 2004, a sister: Melody Ann Hardie in 1960, a brother: Russell Hardie in 2005, and other relatives. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Knollwood Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Cremation has occurred and inurnment will take place in the mausoleum. Friends may call at Knollwood from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
