John P. Hoyer

John P. Hoyer, age 79, of Reedsville, died on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehab in Manitowoc.

He was born on November 15, 1938 at home in the Town of Maple Grove, son of the late John and Sylvia (Urban) Hoyer. John farmed in the Town of Maple Grove his entire life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an active member of the West Maple Grove Hunting Club and the Reedsville Sportsmen’s Club.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters, William (Germaine) Hoyer, Caroline (Jim) Payette, Mary Juchniewich, Joanne Hoyer, Peter Hoyer, Nancy (Roger) Sonnabend, Karen (Vernon) Bonlander, Darlene Klahorst, Judy (Jim) Matznick, Susan (Richard) Walesh, Joe (Judy) Hoyer, Jim Hoyer, and Jeanne Hoyer, an aunt, Martha Kudick and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers-in-law, Jim Juchniewich and Richard Klahorst, and other relatives.

Services for John will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville. Burial will be in Kasson Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Wieting Funeral Home, 15 7th St. Reedsville, and then again on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
