John Jack Sy M. Burns, age 76, of Reedsville, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family. Jack was born on July 8, 1935 in De Pere, son of the late John and Loretta (ONeal) Burns. He was a graduate of Wrightstown High School, class of 1953. On August 28, 1990, Jack married Doris Snellenberger in Branson, Missouri. He served our country in the United States Army Reserves. He was also employed as a truck driver for Remick Transfer in Menasha until his retirement. Ever since high school, Jack has owned a motorcycle. He was a member of the Lucky Wheels of the Fox Valley from 1960 " 1971, was a member of the American Motorcyclist, and rode his bike everywhere. Jack loved to watch Nascar and motorcycle races, travel with his friends and his family, and go to out of the way places and find a nice cold beer. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Doris of Reedsville; his children and their spouses: Jack (Carleen) Burns, Jr. of Appleton and Debbie (John Monty ) Reed of Hilbert; his grandchildren: John (special friend Angie Schuenemann) Burns VI, Jenna Klein, Corey (Eric) Anderson, Justin (special friend Rachel Crist) Reed; great-grandchildren: Penelope Klein and Aubrey Anderson; step-children: Marianne (Jeff) Wilhelm of Florida, Patty Roth of Florida, Ellen (Terry) Moore of Algoma, Susan (Dave) Nuhlicek of Norman, and David (Barb) Brown of Oconto; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law: Mary (Ron) Timm of De Pere; one brother and sister-in-law: Leo (Georgeen) Burns of Brillion; and in-laws: Al (Sue) Snellenberger of Pulaski and Marsha Marquardt of Algoma; the mother of his children: Dorothy; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a step son Jim Brown; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Jim, Billy (Karen) Burns; one brother-in-law: Cyril Hendricks, and other in-laws. Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Askeaton. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the church on Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass at 3:00 p.m. The Irish celebration of his life will continue after the Mass.
