John S. Judd, age 70, of New Holstein, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016, at his home with his loving children at his side following a short illness due to cancer.
He was born October 26, 1946, in Door County to the late Albert & Magdaline (Rex) Judd. John graduated from Gibraltar High School in Fish Creek. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War from January 26, 1966 until November 2, 1967.
On June 25, 1977, he married Pamela Caturia in Kiel. Pamela preceded him in death on August 18, 1991.
John was employed with Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for 39 years. He was a member of the New Holstein American Legion Post 124.
John enjoyed deer hunting, shooting sporting clays, riding his motorcycles, cruising in his 1979 Z-28 Camaro and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his three children, Julie (Jaideep) Roy-Chowdhury of Streamwood, IL, Hope Judd of Hoffman Estates, IL and John J. Judd of New Holstein; five grandchildren, Megan, Kristin, Colin, Cody and Carly; his brother and sisters, Lilly Judd, Mary (Bud) LaFrombois, Alvina (Roger) LeCloux, Carol Randl (George) and Henry (Connie) Judd. He is further survived by nieces; nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Pamela; a daughter-in-law, Carey and a nephew.
Visitation: Family and friends may greet the family at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue New Holstein, WI 53061, on Friday, December 9, 2016, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a brief time to follow for visitors to share a memory. Military Rites conducted by the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 and the State Military Honors will take place following the visitation.
John will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Countryview Cemetery in the Town of New Holstein on Saturday morning, December 10th at 11:00 AM.
