John W. Schaefer, 55, of Fond du Lac, formerly or rural Glenbeulah, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 26, 2017, at his home. He was born January 30, 1962, in Milwaukee. John attended CPES schools; he graduated from Plymouth High School in 1980. He helped on his parent's farm in the Town of Greenbush. John also had worked at Feldner Chevrolet in St. Cloud, Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein, and as a cook for the State of Wisconsin. John is survived by his father and step mother, Joseph C. (Anna) Schaefer of rural Glenbeulah; his sister, Susan (Larry) Meyer of Newton; his nieces and nephews, Kari (Aaron) Noskowiak, Garret Meyer, Paul (Liz) Meyer, Cody Meyer, and Savannah Meyer; his great-nieces, and great-nephews, Carter, Landon, Jase, Miguel, Skye, and Natalia. He is further survived by Aunts; an Uncle; cousins; other relatives; friends; and his four legged friend, Cleo the cat. Preceding John in death were his mother, Marion Schaefer; his paternal grandparents, Bill and Antonia Schaefer; and his maternal grandparents, John and Ida Bieger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Larry Abler, OFM Cap will officiate.
