John R. Trochta

August 2, 1928 — April 10, 2019

John R. Trochta, age 90, of Brillion, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Bellin Medical Center in Green Bay.

John was born at that very same hospital in Green Bay on August 2, 1928, son of the late Carl and Rozalie Trochta.  He was a graduate of Suring High School, class of 1945.  On July 18, 1959, he married Marlis Woldt at Zion Lutheran Church in Morrison.  John was employed with the Brillion Iron Works in the Farm Equipment Division for 37 years, retiring in 1995.  He could fix anything, was proud of his Bohemian Heritage, and really enjoyed history, tractors, his fur faced animals, and coffee mornings with the BIW Truck Drivers.  John and Marlis would go for drives and travel all over the USA.  His hearty laugh and his love of his family will be missed the most by those who love him.

John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marlis of Brillion; their children and spouses: Jeffery (Lorraine) of Kiel, Steven (Jill) of Brillion, David (Lynn) of Howards Grove, Scott (Jean) of Brillion, and Sandra of Brillion; grandchildren: Melissa (Don) Verbaten of Askeaton, Amanda (special friend Grant) Landwehr of Kiel, Kenzi and Brynn Trochta of Brillion, Cody, Austin, and Jocelyn Trochta of Howards Grove, and Kirsten of Oak Creek and Quentin (special friend Jessica) Trochta of Brillion; great-grandsons: Tristan, Henry, and Gage; one sister-in-law: Yvonne (John) Zavoshy of California;  one nephew: Sheldon Woldt, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Walter and Renata (Stever) Woldt, one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Ronald and Ethel Woldt, and other relatives.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Brillion.  Officiating will be the Rev. Ross Henzi and Rev. Philip Janisch. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Online condolences may be made.

Memorials are appreciated.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brillion West Haven and Unity Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Dad and our family.

And don't worry dad, we will take care of the branches on the shed roof and won't let mom change the foyer flooring.  Rest in Peace!
