Jonathan “Jon” W. Seefeldt, age 67, of Appleton, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.
Jon was born on April 28, 1955 in Brillion, son of the late Herman and Eunice (Wunsch) Seefeldt. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School and later attended Fox Valley Technical College where he earned a degree in Marketing. Jon had previously worked for Brillion Iron Works and was an owner/operator of his own rig for semi deliveries. He was lastly employed with Kolosso Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram in Appleton for 18 years until his retirement. On June 26, 2004 he married the former Julie Beerntsen at St. Luke Ev. Lutheran Church in Little Chute. Jon was a member and past president for the Fox Valley Riders motorcycle group and a member of St. Luke Ev. Lutheran Church of Little Chute. He was a thrifter and collector, especially of glass antiques. He was known to his family as Mr. Fix It, as he enjoyed puttering in his garage and basement. Jon enjoyed going up north to their land in Crivitz, bonfires, motorcycles, boating, cook outs, walking his dogs and most importantly spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife: Julie Seefeldt; his children: Jamey Seefeldt (special friend Sue Ellen), Ryan (Tiffany) Seefeldt, Dustin Seefeldt; his step-children: Matt (Tia) Rosek, Scott (Tracy) Christensen; grandchildren: Shelbi, Sydney, Ally, Harper, Isabella, Parker, Zoe, Lilliana, Skyler, Grace, and Jayden; his dogs who were like his children: Abby, Punkin and Tenny; his siblings: Andrew (Jillaine) Seefeldt, Marion Seefeldt; two sisters-in-law: Becky Beerntsen, Laurie (Bob) Limberg; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Leroy and Jeri Beerntsen; and a special nephew: Chad (Leah) Beerntsen and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren: Carter and Davis; two brothers: James and David; and one brother-in-law: Joe Beerntsen.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at St. Luke Ev. Lutheran Church, 702 E. Greenfield Drive, Little Chute. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Ronald C. Szep. Burial will take place at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at St. Luke Ev. Lutheran Church, Little Chute, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
