On July 2, 1982, he married his high school sweet-heart, Traci Goeser, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. Joe was very actively involved in the St. Cloud community through coaching, reffing, volunteering his time with the St. Cloud Fire Department, and the St. Cloud Catholic Church. His passions were hunting, fishing, coaching high school girls basketball, spending time with his best friend, Dan, but mostly important was the time he would spend with his family, especially at their cabin. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Preceding him in death was his father, Jeanold Puetz; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ken & Janice Goeser; and his sister-in-law, Laurie Puetz.
