Joyce H. Wagner, age 82, of Chilton, formerly of Jericho, was called to be with her husband and the Lord on Thursday, January 31, 2013.
Joyce was born on May 7th, 1930, the daughter of the late Leonard & Lydia (Schneider) Peters.
On May 7, 1949 she married Ervin Wagner at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mt. Calvary. They farmed together in Jericho for most of their lives. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2000.
She was the gardening and cooking leader for the Working Woodchucks 4-H club for over ten years. Joyce was also active in Senior Citizens. She was a past Eagle Member. In her spare time she enjoyed her many card and domino clubs.
Joyce is survived by her four children, Dr. Carol Wagner Williams of Orient, OH, JoAnn (Joseph) Steffes of Fond du Lac, Daniel (Anita) Wagner of Chilton, and Debbi (Joe) Calaway of Chilton; nine grandchildren, Andrew Williams, James (Hannah) Steffes, Donald & David Steffes, Andrea Wagner and her fiancé, John Thaves, Laurie (David) Mathe, Jen (Mike) Mousseau, and Brady & Brooke Calaway; several great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gilbert "Gib" (Mildred) Wagner of Jericho and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband; a brother and his wife, James and Frances Peters; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Leo & Gertrude Wagner; in-laws, Robert & Viola Lobenstein.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Ave New Holstein, WI. Private family burial will be at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Jericho.
