Juan R. Heredia

Juan R. Heredia, 41, died unexpectedly Saturday evening, October 1, 2022.

Juan was born on October 26, 1980 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. After his father died in 1983, his mom and he moved back to Wisconsin.

Juan graduated from Brillion High School in 1999. He continued his love of football after graduation by coaching the Brillion 6 ^th graders and playing semi-pro football with the Wisconsin Blaze, Green Bay Gladiators, Manitowoc County Mariners, and Door County Destroyers. He was inducted into the Minor League Football Hall of Fame last December in Las Vegas. He was also a huge fan of the Los Angeles Chargers and was known to tell people to “Bolt Up!” Juan was a people person. He tended bar at The Golf Course at Branch and loved to tell dad jokes. His true joy came from watching his son become an avid hunter and play football and soccer. He would want to be remembered as “The Juan and Only.”

Juan is survived by his parents: Nancy and Dennis Schwalbe; his son: Alex Heredia; three sisters: Veronica Heredia (and partner Bridget Dunne), Sarah (Bill) Roitt, And Carmen (Derek) Genske; his nephews and niece: Myles Roitt, Brody and Brie Genske; his girlfriend: Krystle Augsburger; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Juan (Pops) Heredia; grandparents: Manuel and Elena Heredia, Fritz and Joanne Riesterer, Everett and Verona Schwalbe; and his God-parents: Charlie Serino and Julianne Duchow.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home of Brillion (215 S. Main Street). Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dr. Marc Axelrod.

Friends may call on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.
