Judith "Judy" L. (Popp) Kiernan, age 72, of rural New Holstein "St. Anna", formerly of Appleton, passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, following a six month struggle with health complications. Judy was born December 22, 1945, in Appleton, WI to the late Ervin Popp Sr. & Hilda (Nuss) Popp. She attended schools in Hilbert. On July 8, 1967, she married William O. Lang. He died while serving in the Army during the Vietnam War. On August 2, 1969, she married Charles D. Kiernan. Judy had worked most of her life in area factories; her most recent, was at Tecumseh Engine Products until her retirement. Survivors include her five children, Peggy Lang of rural New Holstein "St. Anna" and her significant other, Ed Miller, Kerry (Chris) Schwalbach of Elderon, WI, April (Terry) Ludwig of Kiel, WI, David Dedolph of Tigerton, WI, Kevin Kiernan of Kiel, WI; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Ronnie (Mary Ann) Popp of Little Chute, WI; her sister, Cheryl (Bruce) Schwartz of Carey, IL. Judy is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, William Lang; her infant daughter, Brenda; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Virginia Schisel; and her brother, Ervin Popp Jr. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 5:45 PM followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Ave. New Holstein, WI 53061.
