Judith "Judy" Korstad, age 69, of Reedsville, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Shady Lane Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, after a courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born on August 18, 1945 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Arthur and Loretta (Behnke) Krepline. She was a graduate of Reedsville High School, class of 1963. On November 25, 1967, Judy married Alfred "Al" Korstad in a double wedding with her sister Bonnie and his brother Glen at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Collins. She worked at Leverenz Shoe Factory in Valders and most recently, Lakeside Foods in Manitowoc. Judy enjoyed bowling, camping with family, sheepshead, quilting, traveling, baking, cooking, and especially loved their grandchildren. She was a life time member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, and was a member of St. Peter's Ladies Aide, and the Reedsville Senior Citizens. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Al; their children: Dawn (Ronald) Zastrow of Cleveland, Jeff (Mindy) Korstad, Kevin (Holli) Korstad, all of Menasha, and Becky (Brad) Busse of Reedsville; grandchildren: Tyler and Ryan Zastrow, Brandon and Caitlyn Korstad, and Jade and Paige Busse; step-grandchildren: Tevin and Tyler; siblings and in-laws: Jim (Carol) Krepline, Eunice (Dennis) Schroeder, Kenny (Betty) Krepline, Vic (Barb) Krepline, Verna (Dave) Mathiebe, Vern (Marcia) Krepline, Joy (Mike) Buboltz, Kim (Steve) Denor, Dorothy Peterman, Janice Waier, Glen Korstad, Marlene Korstad , Judy (Terry) Brandenberg, Marion Korstad, and Barbara Korstad; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Bonnie Korstad; one brother and sister-in-law: Jerry and Linda Krepline, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Otis and Ruth Korstad, nephew: Chad Krepline, and in-laws: Shirley Korstad, Melvin Korstad, JoAnn Korstad, Dale Korstad, Dennis Korstad, and Francis Peterman. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Collins. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Robert Weiss, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be made.
