June H. (Weber) Birschbach, age 92, of Mount Calvary, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary.
She was born August 8, 1929, in Mount Calvary to Henry & Olive (Brenner) Weber. June attended Holy Cross Catholic Grade School and attended two years at "Pete's" University and graduated from Goodrich Senior High School in Fond du Lac in 1947.
On September 5, 1953, she married Ralph Birschbach at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary.
June had started working at Sadoff Metals and later at Wells Manufacturing and eventually went to Giddings & Lewis for 29 years until her retirement. After her retirement, she helped at the daycare center in Mount Calvary for several years.
June was loyal Cubs fan; she, as well as her son, grandchildren, sisters, and other family members, made many trips to opening day at Wrigley Field in Chicago over the years. She and Ralph would also attend local ball games as well. In her younger years, she played baseball and basketball in local leagues as well as bowled until she was no longer able to. In her spare time, she and Ralph would put together puzzles and eventually, Ralph framed many of them over the years.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-Holy Cross Church, the Christian Women's Society, and the Mt. Calvary American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as the president.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph; her son, Andrew (Patricia) Birschbach of Chilton; her four grandchildren, Lucas (Janis) Birschbach, Brett (Jennifer) Birschbach, Anthony (Allison) Birschbach, and Joseph (Rachel) Birschbach; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sr. Elaine Weber of Milwaukee; her sister-in-law, Rita Weber of Mount Calvary; and her brother-in-law, Michael Michels of Fond du Lac. June is further survived by her husband's brothers & sisters; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry & Olive Weber; her brothers, LeRoy Weber and Merle Weber; and her sisters, Luella (Joseph) Leitner, Verna Mae Weber, Mary (Joseph) Kohlman, and Dellene Michels.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W, Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Randy Knauf, OFM Cap will officiate. June will be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Mount Calvary following the Mass.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with June's family at the church in Mount Calvary on Wednesday morning, November 10th from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM.
A Memorial Fund will be established in June's name.
