Kay Flanders, 87 of Brillion, WI passed away peacefully on November 21. 2021 at Homestead nursing home.
She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a great-great grandmother, and sister. Kay touched so many people with her witty humor and love for everyone. She is survived by her daughter Barb (Jim) Ruh, her sons Chris Flanders, and Keith (Rebecca) Flanders, her grandchildren, David Quinzer, Karen (Pat) Quinzer, Jeannine (Brian) Kunstman, Pierce and Elliot Flanders, and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and her sister, Stephanie Miller.
Kay loved spending time with her family, crocheting, and taking care of her 2 parakeets. She loved going out to dinner at Nakashima’s and just being around the ones she loved the most. You never left her house with an empty belly, without getting a hug and without hearing her say I love you.
She w as a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman.
We will miss her every day.
We love you Kay and until we meet again.
We little knew that morning
That God was going to call your name
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you
You did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
You left us precious memories
Your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you
You are always by our side
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again
