Kenneth Olin Anderson, 83 of New Holstein passed away on May 23, 2024 at home with his family by his side following a brief illness. He was born July 18, 1940 in Richland Center to Clifford and Lina (Goplin) Anderson. He attended Richland Center High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin Platteville. While at college he met MaryAnne Trierweiler. They married on July 25, 1964.

Ken taught in Cambridge, WI for three years and then taught Industrial Arts at New Holstein Senior High for 29 years. During this time he officiated basketball (25yrs), coached football (15 yrs), and was Advisor for the Argonaut Yearbook (12yrs). His love was coaching summer baseball. He had 30 years of coaching, amassing a 422-263 Overall Record, 10 Conference Championships, 13 Regional Championships, nine Sectional Championships, nine trips to State, and was a two-time Runner-up at State. In February of 1997, he was inducted into the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. There is a permanent plaque of this accomplishment hanging in the Milwaukee Brewer stadium. He coached the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-Star North Team in 1994. Ken used his construction skills working for Roehrig & Savola Builders for many summers and also with Jerry Arenz Builders in later years.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, boating, wood turning, wood carving, snow skiing, golfing and traveling. Ken and MaryAnne often took bus tours throughout the United States. Two trips to Norway were especially memorable as they visited his grandparents homestead.

Ken was an avid Brewer and Packer fan. Games were a staple on the living room tv. He had a beautiful yard and garden of his favorites. They had a seasonal camper in Waupaca where they met many fellow campers who enjoyed time outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, MaryAnne, of almost 60 years, his three children; daughter Amy Anderson (Deb) of Freedom, daughter Wendy Shaw (Jeff) of Bedford, TX and son Kevin Anderson (Trina) of Oshkosh. He has three grandchildren; Abbie (Dylan) of Dodge Center, MN, Sara of St Paul, MN and Emily (Matt and daughter Faith) of Oshkosh, a sister Lorraine Schaut of Surprise, AZ and brother Paul Anderson (Joan) of LaCrosse, WI, and a brother-in-law Jan Trierweiler of Plover. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Clifford and Lina Anderson, father and mother-in-law, August "Bud" and Betty Trierweiler, and a brother-in-law, Jerry Schaut.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1702 Vanburen Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Pastor Azor Cigelske will officiate. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Ken's family at the church from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein.
