Obituary

Laura Muellenbach, age 94, of New Holstein, died Thursday, November 19, 2020. She was born on October 27, 1926, daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Pickart. Laura married the love of her life, Elmer Muellenbach on August 26, 1947, at Mount Calvary. They farmed on Elmer's homestead until his passing in 1980. Laura was an avid card player and bingo enthusiast as well as a huge Green Bay Packers fan, especially Davante Adams. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton, but always had a soft spot for St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. Survivors include her son, Thomas (Renee) Muellenbach of Denver, North Carolina and her daughter, Deb (John) Bohn of DePere; and three grandchildren, Nicholas Mand (fianceé, Sarah Smith), Christopher Muellenbach (special friend, Amy Davis), and Alicia Muellenbach (fiancé, Eddy Bui). Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Anna Pickart; her husband, Elmer Muellenbach; brothers, Albert (Mildred) Pickart, Hubert (Lydia) Pickart, and Louis Pickart; sisters, Annie (Orville) Muellenbach, Helen (Kenny) Hare, and Dorothy (Wally) Steiner; brothers-in-law, Claude (Dorothy) Muellenbach, Fritz (Marion) Muellenbach, and Edward (Lillian) Muellenbach; sisters-in-law, Leona (Les) Rollman, Dixie (Glen) Libke, and Lydia (Vince) Woelfel; nieces; and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Charlesburg. Laura's family extends their deep gratitude and love to the staff at Homestead Health Services in New Holstein.
