Lavern M. Krizenesky

May 23, 1915 — February 2, 2012

LaVern M. Krizenesky, age 96, formerly of Brillion. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, chose to call LaVern from this life to everlasting life on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Homestead Care Center in New Holstein. She was born on May 23, 1915 in the Town of Rantoul, daughter of the late Albert & Elise (Leider) Krueger. LaVern attended Trinity Rantoul grade school and Brillion High School. She married Thomas Krizenesky on August 6, 1938 at Trinity Lutheran Church Rantoul. LaVern worked at Calumet Dutch Canning Co., L.M. Becker, and Brillion Building Supply all in Brillion, for many years. She loved her family, babysitting her grandchildren, cooking, and painting. LaVern was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion and the Ladies Aid. Survivors include a daughter, Doris Wordell of Sheboygan Falls, a son and daughter-in-law Dennis & Paulette Krizenesky of Brillion, her grandchildren, Keith (Laurie) Wordell of Kenosha, Karen Wordell of Manitowoc, Thomas Wordell of Madison, Matthew (Katherine) Wordell of Round Rock TX, Brian ( Stacie) Krizenesky of Brillion, Troy (Elaine) Krizenesky of Darboy, Tammy (Matt) Plate of Little Chute, Kristie (Dan) Kiesow of Brillion, her great grandchildren, Elise, Nathan, Joanna, Joshua, Benjamin, Katrina and Kara Wordell, Levi, Trevor, Dontae, Justin, and Ryan Krizenesky, Devin and Logan Plate, Renae and Bryce Kiesow, and many other relatives and friends. LaVern was preceded in death by her husband Thomas on July 24, 1990, a son-in-law Donald Wordell on January 30, 2003, brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted (Selma) Krueger, Elmer (Hildegard) Krueger, Arno (Ruth) Krueger, a sister and brother-in-law Viola (Walter) Lemke, and her in-laws George Krizenesky, Elsie Dassow, Sylvia and Joseph Tikalsky. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Revs. Ross Henzi and Jonathan Bourman will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from NOON until 1:45 p.m. with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
