Laverne A. Schwahn

LaVerne A. Schwahn, age 90, of Brillion, was received into the arms of her Savior on  Friday, March 10, 2023.

LaVerne was born on March 15, 1932 on the home farm on Round Lake Road, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Boldt) Behnke.  LaVerne was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She worked at T&C Market for 23 years from 1969 until the time of her retirement.

LaVerne was baptized, confirmed, and married at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Brillion, and she has been a faithful member since 1958.

LaVerne is survived by her children and their spouses: Diane (Dennis) Voit of Waukesha, David (Laurie) Schwahn of Brillion, and Doreen (Martin) Mikeal of Two Rivers; five grandchildren: Corrie Birrou, Casie (Josh) Schisel, Carl (Samantha) Schwahn, Greta Voit, and Sarah (Patrick) Detmer; ten great-grandchildren: Faris Birrou; Adalynn, Alivia, and Aiden Schisel; Hailey, Kellen, and Sayla Detmer; and Baleigh, Kennedi, and Parker Schwahn; sister-in-law: Kathleen Behnke; brother-in-law: Gerald Schwahn, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Margaret Behnke, one son: Donald Schwahn; father of her children: Clarence Schwahn; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Gertrude (William) Ross and Lorella (Irving, Sr.) Paul; one brother: Marvin Behnke; and two sisters-in-law: Alice Schwahn and Cecilia Behnke.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Brillion.  Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Fricke and Rev. Ross Henzi.  Burial will be in Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion.

Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
