Lawrence "Larry" L. Balthazor, age 71, of New Holstein, passed away with his loving family at his side on Friday, March 18, 2016. He was born September 20, 1944, in Sturgeon Bay to the late Ray & Eunice (Gosz) Balthazor. Larry graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1963. He served in the Army from 1965 until 1967, serving one year in Vietnam. On October 4, 1969, he married Joanne Weinreis at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hilbert. Larry had worked at Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for 41 years. He was a member of New Holstein American Legion Post 124. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and playing sheepshead. He and Joanne enjoyed golfing and traveling together. Larry also cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren and listening to country music. Survivors include his wife, Joanne; five children, Brenda (Bill) Atkinson of New Holstein, Connie (Jamie) Nenahlo of Chilton, Cindy (Joseph) Van Daalwyk of Hilbert, Lori Christopherson and her friend, Christopher of Sheboygan and Brian (fiancee', Hazel) of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren, Ashley Atkinson; Brianna, Brooke and Brayden Nenahlo; Kaitlyn, Gavin and Trevin Van Daalwyk; and Alexandria Balthazor; three brothers, Lee, Lyle and Lonnie Balthazor and his brother-in-law, Michael Weinreis of Grafton and his friend, Nancy. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alex and Alvera Weinreis and his sister-in-law, Barbara Balthazor.
