Lawrence "Larry" Nies

Lawrence “Larry” Nies, age, 66 of Brillion, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, February 8, 2016. He was born on October 15, 1949 in Green Bay, son of Rosella (Kabat) Nies and the late Joseph Nies. Larry married Judy Goldschmidt on July 31, 1971 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. He served in the U.S. Army for 6 years. After his service, he worked at the Ariens Company in the IT Department, and in 1981, Larry founded NSC in Brillion. Larry loved technology, camping with his family, the Packers, music and movies. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion and served on the Best Advantage Credit Union Board of Directors, the Brillion Housing Authority and served as president of DPMA. Survivors include his wife Judy, his children, Lisa (Aaron) White, Eric (Mandi) Nies and Heather (Jesse) Dvorachek all of Brillion, 6 granddaughters, Adelyn and Ava White, Zayla and Mylei Nies, Sage and Bella Dvorachek, his mother Rosella Nies of DePere, his siblings, Jim (June) Nies of DePere, Jane (Al) Symbal of Negaunee, MI. Steve (Janet) Nies and Tim (Karen) Nies all of DePere, his mother-in-law Alice Goldschmidt of Brillion and sisters-in-law Betty (Joel) Ott and Jill Ott all of Brillion. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, Father-in-law Eldore Goldschmidt and brother-in-law Larry Ott. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 12 2016 at NOON at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Timothy Brandt will officiate.
