Obituary

Leah J. Schultz, 68, of New Holstein, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. She was born January 7, 1943, in Keshena, WI to the late Warren & Mildred (Funk) Leaman. Leah attended West De Pere High School. On June 19, 1974, she married William Schultz in Rapid City, South Dakota. Leah worked at area restaurants in Kiel, New Holstein, and Chilton. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Leah took great pride in her Indian Heritage and proudly displayed it in her home. She enjoyed traveling the Midwest attending toy & tractor shows with Bill. She was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed baking and cooking for family and friends. Leah truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Survivors include her husband, William of New Holstein; her son, Emmett (Brenda) VanGorder of Sturgeon Bay; her daughter, Melissa Eisner of Menasha and her boyfriend, Russ Lindsey; her grandchildren, Ashley (Brian) Primley, Adam VanGorder, Brooke, Courtney, and Josh Koslowski; her step-grandchildren, Misty (Craig) Wolfe, Shane Young, and Jacob & Phillip Lindsey; her great-grandson, Connor Primley; her sister, Carolyn (Scott) Jandrain of Brussels; her sisters-in-law, Ann McDonell and Dorth Hurley both of Manitowoc; her brother-in-law, Benji (Kathy) Schultz of Kiel and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; her brother-in-law, Daniel Schultz and aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Ave. New Holstein, WI. Deacon Pat Knier will preside. Inurnment will be in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in New Holstein. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Sippel Funeral Home on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of services. Leah's family would like to thank the staff members at the Calumet Medical Center, St. Elizabeth Hospital, and Cherry Meadows Hospice Facility.
