Les E. Ehlenbeck, age 73, of New Holstein, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls with his daughters and other family at his side. He was born October 22, 1948, in Sheboygan to the late Norbert & Laynilda "Nellie" (Schmitz) Ehlenbeck. He attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1967. In 1975, he married Connie Wendt. Les worked as a manufacturing engineer at the former Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein until retiring at age 52. Following retiring at Tecumseh, he did contract work at Kohler Co. Spending time at Lake Helen at the family cottage was something that Les truly enjoyed. He also loved hunting, fishing, and playing liars dice. Survivors include his two daughters, Kara (Garo) Boghossian and Kelly (Adam) Forstner; four grandchildren, Griffin, Nora, Gavin, and Myla; two brothers, David (Deb) Ehlenbeck and Jim (Judy) Ehlenbeck; his brother-in-law, Chuck Schneider; many nieces & nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Norbert & Nellie Ehlenbeck and his sister, Phyllis Schneider. Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue New Holstein, WI 53061. Following the service, all are welcome to join the family at the Altona Supper Club for a continuation in the celebration of Les' life.
