Obituary

Lillian M. Sippel, age 88, of Chilton, a former Marytown native, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Libby's House in Chilton. She was born October 16, 1932, to August & Isabella (Lefeber) Sippel. Lillian attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School in Marytown. Lillian worked at the former Northern Turkey Farm and at Chilton Metal. She received a fifty year veteran award from International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for her loyal service. Lillian will be remembered by her love of family and maintaining her rich German Heritage which included her love of listening to Polka music. Also outstanding is her love of cooking, and baking, especially her traditional, made from scratch, Peanut Squares. She had a heart of gold, a positive attitude, and would never say anything to hurt anyone. Survivors include her children, Chris (Marilou) Herriges of Henrico, VA, Ruth Ann (Ken) Bredell of Oconto, Sharon Herriges of Two Rivers, Karen (Paul) Baroun of Valders, and Sheila Gilson of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers & sisters, Erma Danner of Glenview, IL, Harold (Marlene) Sippel of Appleton, Mary Ann (Howard) Meyer of St. Ann, Donald (Helen) Sippel of Plymouth, Dianne (Ron) Reese of New Holstein, Jean (Gary) Anderson of Portage; and her brother-in-law, Willard Matznick of Marytown. Lillian is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, August & Isabella Sippel; her son, James Sheldon Nash; and her sisters, Tharcilla Matznick and Bernice (Francis) Schaefer. A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Entombment will take place at the Knollwood Mausoleum near Manitowoc. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Lillian's family at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein on Wednesday, July 7th from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM and again at the funeral home Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.
