Obituary

Linda L. Brenner, 62, of Mount Calvary, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 12, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital. Linda's strength was admirable, she fought until the end. Linda battled numerous medical conditions throughout her life, including Hodgkin's Lymphoma in the "1970"s, in hopes of spending more time with those she loved. Her strength and caring nature inspired those she came in contact with. The former Linda Immel was born March 24, 1954, in Fond du Lac to Alice (Ottery) Immel and the late Gordon Immel Sr. Linda attended Goodrich High School, where she was an outstanding girl athlete, graduating with the class of 1972. On May 12, 1973, she married Bernie Brenner at St. Michael Catholic Church in Dotyville. Linda farmed alongside her husband until 1992 where she began working at McDonald's in Fond du Lac remaining there for 19 years. Linda valued spending time with her family and friends. Growing up, she enjoyed her time at the Fair and her days of showing dairy cattle. She spent many years of her life on various softball diamonds as a member of many different teams. She was an avid sports fan; never missing one of her daughters' sporting events. Linda also attended many games of her nieces and nephews throughout the years. She especially loved spending time with her granddaughter, "J" (Jahara) and their time spent getting ready for the fantastic ball. She will be missed by many. Linda was a member of St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary. Survivors include her husband, Bernie; two daughters, Nicole (Marcus) Wiegert and Melissa Brenner and her daughter, Jahara; her mother, Alice Immel; her brothers and sisters, Robert "Buff" (Darlene) Immel, Gordon Immel Jr., John (Sue) Immel, Mike (Kathy) Immel, Kathy (Gerald "Skook") Blatz, and Sue (Phil) Lefeber; and her sister-in-law, Mary Brenner. Linda is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends. Preceding Linda in death are her father, Gordon Immel Sr.; two sisters, Mary (Pete) Rohlfs and Christine Immel; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Immel; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony and Mildred Brenner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W, Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev.
