Linda L. Eickhoff

Linda L. Eickhoff, age 66, of Hilbert, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Linda was born on June 12, 1951 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Jerome and Marilyn (Pflughoeft) Weins.  She was a graduate of Hilbert High School, class of 1969.  She went on to further her education at Fox Valley Technical College and received a degree as an LPN.   Linda and her best friend Mary Jo worked at the VA nursing home in King, WI for a short time before getting a job at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.  There she remained for 45 years, retiring in 2016.  This is also the place she met the love of her life, Kirk.  The couple married on June 20, 1975 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hilbert.  Linda enjoyed watching her children in sporting events and school programs, crafts, gardening, crocheting, she was the ‘game queen’ with board games, enjoyed traveling with Kirk when they could, nurturing her horses, dogs, and cats, and especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kirk of Hilbert; their children and spouses: Joshua (Michelle) of Bellevelle, IL and Leah (Steve) Helms of Hilbert; grandchildren: Shanae LaPean, Ryan, Mariana, and Xanderkirk Eickhoff, and Easton and Camden Helms;  siblings: Gary (Nancy) Weins of Hilbert, Sherry (Norm) Otto of Fremont, Daniel (Eileen) Weins of Menomonee Falls, Michael (Kay) Weins of Hilbert, Julie (Steve) Henke of New Berlin, and Joan (Jeff) Kluever of Menasha; other in-laws: Ernest Guillette, Dennis (Barb) Eickhoff of Darboy, Tim Eickhoff of Neenah, and Mary (Bob) Brumm of Kimberly; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law: Lois Eickhoff and her father-in-law: Merl Eickhoff, her brother, John Weins, her sister, Susan Guillette, one nephew, Ryan Guillette, sister-in-law: Lynn Eickhoff, and other relatives.

Funeral Mass will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hilbert.  Officiating will be Rev. Mike Betley.

Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.
