Obituary

Lisa A. (Edmonds) Steindl, age 56, of New Holstein, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

She was born November 20, 1969, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan to Valeria (Beaudry) Edmonds Knier and the late Carl Edmonds Sr.

Lisa graduated from Oostburg High School and received her associate degree from Lakeshore Technical College in court stenography.

Lisa began her working career at Heritage Insurance in Sheboygan. Later she worked at Great Lakes Cheese in Plymouth and was currently employed with the New Holstein School District.

On September 22, 1990, she married Thomas Steindl at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Adell, WI.

Lisa enjoyed her vacations and being outdoors; she loved to travel to warmer climates. Any place that had a sandy beach is where she frequented. She enjoyed riding her bike and motorcycle. Lisa cared for her Lovebirds, Lily & Peanut and tending to her flower garden.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Travis Steindl of Cascade, WI and Kyle Steindl of Sheboygan; her former husband, Thomas Steindl of Cascade; her mother, Valeria Knier of Dunedin, FL; her brothers & sisters, Carol (Ron) Sitzman of Kiel, Carl Jr. (Ann) Edmonds of Random Lake, WI, Jody Franklin of Kiel, WI, Mary VanDerWeele of Menasha, WI, Sherry (Thom) Doty of Ocean Springs, MS; her special friend, Phil Canon. She is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her father, Carl Edmonds Sr.; step-father, Rodney Knier; and two brothers, Jim Edmonds and Joseph Edmonds.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Alvan Amadi will officiate. Inurnment will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Adell, WI at a later date.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Lisa's family at Holy Rosary Church on Saturday, August 1st, from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
