Lloyd F. Walber, age 81, of New Holstein, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Harbor Haven Health & Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac. He was born March 16, 1932 in New Holstein to the late Joseph J. & Anna M. (Stransky) Walber. He attended New Holstein schools. Lloyd was a proud veteran of the US Army and fought in the Korean War from December 3, 1952 to October 28, 1954. On May 6, 1961, he married Mary Jane Wagner at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary. After serving in the Korean War, he went to work at Shaver's Garage in New Holstein. He retired from the Kohler Co. in 1997. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane of New Holstein; his daughter, Dawn (Philip) Halbur of Fond du Lac and their children, Joshua, Nicole, Emily, and Gregory; his son, Bryan Walber of New Holstein and his children, Amber and Logan. He is further survived by his sister, Joyce Vissers of Green Bay; and his brother, Robert (Betty) Walber of Green Bay; his sisters-in-law, Estelle Walber of Chilton, Ivis Walber of Amherst Junction, Helen (Ed) Schroeder of Plymouth and Barbara (Frank) Prahl of Plymouth, Sue (Ron) Karls of Mount Calvary, Judy, Cindy, & Gigi Wagner all of Fond du Lac; and his brother-in-law, Joseph (Donna) Wagner of Mount Calvary. Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph & Anna Walber; his step-mother, Gertrude Walber; four brothers, Lester (Marie) Walber, Emil Walber, Clifford (Rita) Walber, and Donald (Mae) Walber; his brothers-in-law, Lyle Hein, Dennis Vissers, and Edwin B. Wagner; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Edwin J. & Dorothy Wagner. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Lloyd's life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street in New Holstein. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate with Deacon Pat Knier assisting. Military Honors will take place at the church following the Mass. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of Rest Chapel Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue in New Holstein on Wednesday, September 11th from 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM when brief rites will be held at the funeral home.
