Lois Esther Olm, age 89, formerly of Brillion, died on Monday, April 20, 2015 at The Heritage in Appleton. She was born on July 26, 1925 at home in Brillion. She was the daughter of the late Arthur K. and Linda (Schunk) Schroeder. She married Eugene J. Olm on April 27, 1946. Together they owned and operated Dairy Queen Cheese Factory in Brillion until 1958. Lois was then employed by Hendricks Beverage in Brillion. During this time, she and Eugene built and operated Deer Run Golf Course in Brillion. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brillion. Following her retirement, Lois volunteered many hours to the church. Survivors include her brother and his wife Armin and Edwerda Schroeder of The Heritage and many nieces, nephews and friends. It must be noted that while Lois and Eugene's marriage was never blessed with children of their own, there are many people whom they made part of their family by mutual consent. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene on May 7, 2002. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Ross Henzi will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A memorial fund had been established in Lois' name for Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and Theda Care Hospice.
