Loney Behnke

Loney L. Behnke, age 91, of Fitchburg, Wis., died Saturday, September 24, 2011. She was born September 6, 1920, in the Town of Rantoul in Calumet County, to Frieda and William Lemke Sr. She married Clifford F. Behnke on January 8, 1944. During their life together, they lived in Reedsville, Manawa, Appleton, Algoma, Manitowoc, Watertown and Madison. She is survived by a son, Clifford C. (Sharyn) Behnke, Madison; a grandson, Thomas Behnke, Milwaukee; and a brother, William (Florence) Lemke Jr., Chilton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford F.; two sisters, Sophie (Vitus) Wiegert and Helen Haese ; and a sister-in-law, Priscilla Wilharms. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. John Chworowsky will officiate. Burial will be in St. John St. James Cemetery, Reedsville. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
