Loretta Elizabeth Morgan, 87, of Fond du Lac formerly of Johnsburg, passed away at Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. She was born October 15, 1923 in Mount Calvary to the late Edward Kraus and Anna (Schaefer) Kraus. On April 13, 1944, Loretta married Leo Morgan and farmed on the Morgan homestead in the Johnsburg area. She farmed for most of her life and enjoyed cooking, cards, and her garden. Survivors include her son, Francis (Theresa) of Johnsburg and her daughter, Betty (Allen) Buechel of St. Peter; four grandchildren, Troy Buechel, Tina (Jerry) Owen, Erin Morgan (Fiancée Jon Popelars) and James Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Buechel and Elizabeth Buechel. She is further survived by her two brothers, Melvin Kraus of Mt. Calvary, Benno (Betty) Kraus of Marytown; three sisters, Laurina Schumacher of Fond du Lac, Rosemary (Jerome) Baus of Fond du Lac, and Joanne Freund of New Holstein. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Floyd. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church N9288 Highway W Fond du Lac "Johnsburg" with the Rev. Joseph Coerber officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
