Lorraine S. (Ebertz) Schneider, 85, of rural St. Cloud, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. Lorraine Ebertz was born March 17, 1933 on the family homestead in the Town of Marshfield to Arthur & Catherine (Gilles) Ebertz. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School in Marytown. On May 8, 1954, she married Harvey Schneider at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown. Lorraine had worked at Kestell Furniture in New Holstein for 20 years as well as working at other various places. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown. Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards, especially sheephead. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, and embroidering. Survivors include her husband, Harvey; five daughters, her daughter, Rose (Mike) Kaiser of Mount Calvary, and their children, Angie (Matt) Roth, Chris (Sheila) Fisher, Eric (Viola) Kaiser, and Zach (Emily) Kaiser; her daughter, Pat (Carl) Whittaker of Fond du Lac, and their children, Ryan, Jacob, and Kayla Whittaker; her daughter, Linda (Gerry) Lefeber of St. Cloud, and their children, Melissa (Benji) Bink and Amanda Lefeber; her daughter, Carol (Tony) Schiller of Fond du Lac, and their children, Brian Schiller and Becky (Mike) Huberty; her daughter, Ann (Tim) Stiefvater of Chilton, and their children, Clarissa, Emily, and Nicole Stiefvater; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, James (Loraine) Schneider and Henry Schneider; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Wettstein. Lorraine is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Catherine Ebertz; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, John & Elnor Schneider; and two sisters-in-law, Leora Schneider and Henrietta Schneider. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 13, 2018, at St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap will officiate. Lorraine will be laid to rest in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Marytown. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 12th from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street, St. Cloud, WI. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home Friday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
