Lorraine L. (Lenz) Konen, age 89, of Kiel, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, with her husband by her side.

She was born October 4, 1934, in Sheboygan to Carl & Arvilla (Drake) Lenz. Lorraine graduated from Kiel High School in 1952.

On September 26, 1953, she married Clemens "Doc" Konen at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Louis Corners. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past year.

Lorraine had worked at the former Leverenz Shoe Company in New Holstein and after Leverenz closed, she went to work at Art Unlimited in New Holstein until retiring.

Survivors include her husband, Clemens "Doc"; her son, Dr. Robert (Janet) Konen of Baraboo, WI; daughter-in-law, Kathy Konen of Howards Grove; four grandsons, Jason (Jessica) Konen, Karl Konen, Daniel Konen, and Nicholas Konen; two great-grandchildren, Aiden & Ashlyn Konen; her brother, Dennis (Diane) Lenz of Kiel; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Carl & Arvilla Lenz and a son, Harold Konen.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Louis Corners (19214 County Hwy XX, Kiel, WI 53042). Rev. Ted Olsen will preside. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Lorraine's family at the church Friday, September 27th from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

Lorraine's family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff at Sycamore Lodge Assisted Living and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for their wonderful care given to her and to Rev. Ted Olsen for his many visits and a special family friend, Loretta Mauer.

Memorials, in Lorraine's memory, may be directed for Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Louis Corners or for Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
