Lucille Ella Jaeger

Lucille Ella Jaeger, age 90, a resident of the Manitowoc Heath & Rehabilitation Center, died peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2018, in the secure knowledge of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was born on August 29, 1927 in the Town of Liberty, daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Bollerey) Lau. She married Harold F. Jaeger on August 24, 1946. They moved to Cleveland in 1947 where she belonged to St. John St. Peters Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school there for several years. Lucille and Harold bought a dairy farm in Newton and moved there in October of 1950. They sold the farm and moved to Manitowoc in 1983. Along with being a homemaker on the farm, Lucille also worked at Pine River Pre- Pack and W.T. Grant CO. She was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Liberty where she served hot lunch for many years, the Ladies Aid, Manitowoc Lutheran High School Ladies Guild and the Manitowoc County Extension Home Makers. She was a volunteer at Repeat Performance from the time it opened until 2016. She enjoyed attending worship services, spending time with her family, cooking, baking, a good card game with friends and working at Repeat Performance. Survivors include a daughter, Joan (Jim) Mattes of Valders, a daughter-in-law, Lindy (Rick) Wolfe of Manitowoc, 7 grandchildren, Heidi Krepline and special friend Pete Endries, Eric (Kristy) Jaeger, Jill (Casey) Schramm, Alicia (Tim) Lambert, Becky (Jimmy) Jeffers, Andy (Lexi) Mattes, Josh Mattes and special friend Emily Brier, 9 great grandchildren, R.J. and Rachel Krepline, Emma, Jana and Carson Jaeger. Liam and Lucy Lambert, Aubrey and Amelia Jeffers, 2 sisters-in-law, Audrey Janing of Manitowoc and Jeanette Kober of Sheboygan, a brother-in-law Ellsworth Jaeger of Sheboygan and many nieces, nephews and friends. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Harold on September 2, 2008, a son Gary on January 12, 1985, a brother Earl, and infant brother and several in-laws. Funeral Service will be held on Monday January 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town Liberty. The Rev. Gregory Pope will officiate. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and then again on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Trinity Ev.
