Lucille (Lucy) L. Dreifuerst, 92, a resident of Villa Loretto in Mt. Calvary, formerly of Fond du Lac and St. Cloud, passed away March 5, 2023. She was born on April 22, 1930, the daughter of Philip & Adeline (Buechel) Birschbach in St. Peter. She attended school in St. Peter and Fond du Lac.
On June 10, 1950, Lucille was united in marriage to Ralph (Skip) Dreifuerst. Ralph preceded her in death on August 29, 1999. She was employed at Sargento Cheese in Plymouth for 24 years and a volunteer at St. Agnes Hospital for 15 years. She was a member of the St. Cloud Christian Mothers Society, the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed spending time with the Jim & Linda's Senior card group in addition to several other card groups.
Survivors include 6 children, Kenneth Dreifuerst(friend Mary Ann Buechel) of Kiel, Karen (Gary) Witkowski of Sheboygan Falls, Janet (Tom) Schmitz of Mt. Calvary, Richard (Mary) Dreifuerst of Cooper Landing, Alaska, Steve (Kris) Dreifuerst of Sun Prairie, and JoAnn(Tom) Esser of Neshkoro; 11 grandchildren, Amy (Joe) Williams of Plymouth, Brian Witkowski of St. Nazianz, Joy (Luke) Suemnicht of Cascade, Kim (Chad) Olig of Fond du Lac, Dustin (Cassandra) Dreifuerst of Marinette, Casilyn Dreifuerst(fiance' Todd Challacombe) of Placitas, New Mexico, Jacob Dreifuerst of Sun Prairie, Ryan(Maddie) Dreifuerst of Raleigh, North Carolina and Eric Dreifuerst (fiance' Emma Krause) of St. Joseph, Michigan, Kevin (Jenny) Dreifuerst of Neenah, and Kyle Esser of Neenah; 14 great-grandchildren, Ashlei, Tyler, & Brayden Williams, Jaden & Emerson Witkowski, Evelyn and Garret Suemnicht, Lydia, Brady & Sydney Olig, Cecelia, Otto & Greta Dreifuerst and Ian Dreifuerst. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Ralph (Skip), her parents Philip & Adeline Birschbach, her sister LaVerne Lefeber, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph & Anna Dreifuerst, her daughter-in-law Bonnie Dreifuerst, her brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Walter Lefeber, Alfred & Lorraine Mueller, Frank & Romilda Leon, Elmer & Rosie (Hochrein) Dreifuerst, Francis & Clara Dreifuerst, Roman & Elsie Dreifuerst, Joe & Esther Bergs, & Alex & Marie Sesing.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street St. Cloud, WI 53079.
Visitation: Family & friends may visit with Lucy's family at the church in St. Cloud on Saturday, April 1st from 9:30-10:45 AM .
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name for local charities.
