Lucille R. Wenzel, age 87, of Collins, passed away on June 1, 2015 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. Lucille was born on July 28, 1927 in the town of Rockland, daughter of the late Henry and Lilly (Behnke) Schneider. On June 22, 1949, she married Elwood "Elly" Wenzel at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. The couple celebrated 65 years of marriage before his passing on October 23, 2014. Lucille owned and operated their dairy farm with Elly; a farm that started from nothing. They built the business together into what it is today. She enjoyed working side by side with her husband and their three sons on the farm her entire life. Even up until the day she died, she was still doing most of the book work for the business. Lucille was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins, serving as a Sunday school teacher and on the ladies aide over the years. Lucille enjoyed gardening, canning, her hummingbirds, doing her yard work and taking care of the pond. She was an avid Brewer, Packer, and Badger fan, and also listened to local high school sports on the radio. Most of all, Lucille loved her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She is survived three sons and three daughters-in-law: Victor (Jeanette), Warren (Susan), and Wayne (Sharon) all of Collins; one son-in-law: Ron Naber of East Troy; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law: Lois (Gaylord) Lambries of Manitowoc; one brother-in-law: Glenn of Manitowoc; sisters-in-law: Betty Schneider of Sheboygan Falls, Bernice Schneider of Valders, and Connie Wenzel of Brillion; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Kay Naber, siblings: Harvey, Clarmont, Ellwood, Orville and Lila Schneider; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Rueben and Luella (Matthias) Wenzel; sisters-in-law: Dorcella (Martin) Hueber, Annis Wenzel; and one brother-in-law: Wyman Wenzel.
