Lucy Rach of New Holstein passed away peacefully at her home, with her family at her side, on November 10th, 2012, at the age of 57. She had a long, painful, and courageous battle with cancer. Lucy was one of the most caring women and was loved dearly by her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, who she held very close to her heart. Lucy was born December 28th 1954 to John and Betty (Karls) Dziadek. She grew up in Calumetville with her three sisters, mother and aunt. She graduated from New Holstein High School, married Ray Jurgensmier and they raised four children together in Calumetville. On July 24th, 2001, she married Stephan Rach and they shared a special love together. She worked at Cedar Lodge as a waitress for over twenty-five years and Bank Mutual in New Holstein. Survivors include her mother Betty Dziadek; her aunt Amanda (Richard) Socha; her three sisters Shirley Dziadek, Susan (Dave) Halbach, and Linda (Mike) Baxter; the father of her children Raymond Jurgensmier; her four children Sarah (Mike) Langenfeld and children, Chris, Jaime, and Trent; Angela (Paul) LuMaye and child Seth; Eric (Beth) Jurgensmier and children Hayden, Dominic, and Trevin; Joseph (Melissa) Jurgensmier and children, Dakotah, Hunter, Abby, Jack, and Lily; her step-children; step-son Steven (Amelia) Rach and children, Brendan & Sara; her step-daughter, Chastity Rach and children, Dawn, Travis, Joshua, and Megan; her step-daughter Rebecca Rach; and further survived by other aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. Preceding her in death was her husband Stephen Rach; her father John Dziadek, and her nephew Michael Baxter. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street in New Holstein. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate with Parish Director, Joe Zenk and Deacon, Pat Knier assisting. Inurnment will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
