Obituary

Mae "Kate" C. (Kaiser) Halbach, 74, of Mount Calvary died Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary. The former Kate Kaiser was born January 18, 1936, to the late Eugene & Nicella Simon Kaiser. Kate attended Holy Cross Grade School and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1954. On June 18, 1960, she married John Halbach at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary. Kate worked at M-B Manufacturing until retiring October 1, 1996. She was a member of St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary. Survivors include her husband, John of Mount Calvary; her son, Paul (Kris) Halbach of St. Cloud; three brothers, Don (Carol) Kaiser, Robert (Lyla) Kaiser and Michael (Rose) Kaiser all of Mount Calvary; two sisters, Ruth (Gene "Beno") Rusch of Brownsville and Joan (Jerry) Burg of Fond du Lac and four sisters-in-law, Julie Kaiser of Mount Calvary, Dorothy Halbach of New Holstein, Erna Halbach of Calvary Station and Mary (Gerald) Augustine of St. Nazianz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Nicella Kaiser; two brothers, Gerald & Richard Kaiser; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William & Hilda Halbach; five brothers-in-law, Arvin, Emil, William, James, and Kenneth Halbach and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Halbach. A Memorial Mass will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church 308 County Road W in Mount Calvary. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. and Rev. Oliver Bambenek OFM Cap. will concelebrate. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the time of services. Kate's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff members at the Villa Loretto and Villa Rosa and to the St. Agnes Hospice Hope.
