Obituary

Marcella L. Feider went peacefully to her heavenly home on August 22, 2014. She was born August 21, 1927, the daughter of Henry and Frances Brabender. On May 17, 1947, she married Wilmer Feider and together, with him, raised a family of eight children on their farm in New Holstein. After the death of her husband 32 years ago, Marcella selflessly and necessarily became the Wilmer and Marcella Feider family matriarch. She was humble and would often claim that she "did not know anything" but her wisdom was evident to all who knew her. Everyone in the family knew she was strong, sensitive, hard-working, and smart. Most importantly she shared her enduring qualities with her family, specifically by showing good example. For many years she volunteered visiting the home bound and helping the needy. She was truly a self-giving and faith-filled woman. She is survived by seven children, William (Margaret) Feider, Rev. Paul (Julie) Feider, Joanne (Jim) Lueder, Chris Thome, Chuck (Julie) Feider, Dr. Henry (Denise) Feider, and Andrew (Meg) Feider; 21 grandchildren, Sarah Bucek, Angie Hoefner, Betsy Shamine, Brad Feider, Colin Murray, Graham Murray, Chris Lueder, Sandy Le Mahieu, Mike Lueder, Linda Lueder, Ben Thome, Nic Thome, Josh Thome, Tim Feider, Steph Pritzl, Matt Feider, Jeannette Miller, Stephen Feider, Kevin Feider, Lauren Feider, and Joel Feider; 21 great-grandchildren, Cole, Oliver, Brady, Olivia, Greg, Jonathan, Nathanial, Matthias, Joseph, James, Caden, Allison, Blake, Aiden, Lillian, Vicki, Garet, Abby, Lucas, Claire, and Isaac. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilmer; her son, Thomas; daughter-in-law, Pam; her sister, Hildegard; and two brothers, Alex and Vernon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street New Holstein, WI 53061. Following the mass, Marcella will be laid to rest next to her husband, Wilmer at Holy Rosary Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name.
