Obituary

Marcella "Sally" M. Wagner, 94, of Mount Calvary died Monday morning, July 12, 2010 at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary. The former Sally Schmitz was born May 10, 1916 in the Town of Marshfield near Mount Calvary to the late Mathias & Ottilia Schneider Schmitz. Sally attended Holy Cross Grade School. On September 15, 1936 she married Paul J. Wagner at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1984. Sally had worked as the Head Cook at the Villa Loretto until her retirement. She was a member of St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary. Survivors include her five children, Ruth A. Welsch of Fond du Lac, Eugene "Pedro" (Judy) Wagner of St. Cloud, Janet Burg of Mount Calvary, James J. (Jane) Wagner of Fond du Lac and Deb (Robert) Korducki of Mukwonago; 16 grandchildren, Terry (Barry) Karet, Michael Welsch, Julie (Kevin) McCullough, Jodi (Todd) Beyer, Joel (Jenny) Wagner, Randy Burg, Jayne (Joe) Butz, Ann (Wayne) Knaus, Kathy (Mike) Munger, Jef (Jodi) Burg, Jennifer (Matt) Mauk, James (Lisa) Wagner, Jon Wagner, Jason (Angie) Wagner, John Korducki and Jake Korducki; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Sippel, Nettie Pauly and Virginia (Don) Rahmer; four brothers, Sam (Helen) Schmitz, Andrew (Zona) Schmitz, Tony (Mae) Schmitz and Alvin (Donna) Schmitz; three sisters-in-law, Marian Schmitz, Marge Schmitz and Rosie Schmitz Schneider and two brothers-in-law, Charles Wagner and Norman (Alice) Wagner. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Paul J. Wagner; two sons-in-law, Don Welsch and Franz Burg and four brothers, Alex, Alfred "Fritz", Arnold "Arnie" and Alphonse Schmitz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church 308 County Road W in Mount Calvary. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Johnsburg. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street in St. Cloud on Tuesday "Today" July 13th from 4-8 PM and at the church in Mount Calvary Wednesday morning from 9-10:00 AM. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 8:00 PM. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to the Villa Loretto.
