Margaret H. Bofinger, age 80, of New Holstein, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the Willowdale Nursing Home in New Holstein. The former Margaret Woelfel was born November 27, 1932, to the late Hugo & Hildegard (Meyer) Woelfel. She graduated from New Holstein High School. On May 4, 1968, she married David Bofinger at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. David preceded her in death on September 15, 1992. Margaret had worked at the former Leverenz Shoe Co. in New Holstein and at the Calumet Homestead. Survivors include her two sisters, Carol (Roger) Beck of New Holstein and Marilyn Nett of Cambridge, WI; her sister-in-law, Mary Woelfel of Watertown; and her brother-in-law, Edmund Konopka of New Holstein. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Hugo & Hildegard Woelfel; two brothers, Robert & Melvin Woelfel; and her sister, Ronalda Konopka. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue in New Holstein. Entombment will be at the Knollwood Memorial Park Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
